The Uncommon Thread

Alpaca Merino Sport - Stonewashed

Approx 100g - 65% super baby alpaca 35% extra fine merino wool yarn
300m per 100g – sport weight

This yarn brings the best of both worlds. With the softest of alpacas and the creamiest of merinos, it's super soft and warm. It'll glide off your needles to make beautiful heirloom sweaters and next-to-the-skin soft shawls.

Handwash cold, lay flat to dry

20% VAT will be charged on parcels being sent within the UK, EU VAT at your country's rate

As with other hand dyed yarns, we would recommend alternating skeins every two rows or so.

We care deeply about the environment and we're aware of the effects that chemicals can have on it, so we make every effort to exhaust all dyes in the dyebath so that no nasties go down the plughole. It is not always possible to exhaust *all* the dye, all the time, especially with certain dyeing techniques, so if you intend on using your yarn for colourwork or with paler colours it pays to give it a wash first, just to be sure.

We try to ensure all colours look true on our monitor but they can vary substantially. If you’re unsure about a particular colourway please get in touch!
